Abhishek Goyal
Co-Founder and Partner
Abhishek has 20+ years of experience in climate change and carbon markets. He has extensive experience in the development of GHG certification standards & accounting methodologies in multiple sectors. Before starting AGS, he led the technical developments at the Standard and new methodologies in Gold Standard. Abhishek is a member of the Regulatory Committee at Global Carbon Council. He is also working as Technical Consultant to CDM – Executive Board of UNFCCC on project assessments and is on the Roster of Experts with the Supervisory Body for Article 6.4 mechanism.
Neha Garg
Director-Projects
Neha has 16+ years of experience in climate change and carbon markets. She has worked on projects in India, Africa, and SE Asia. Worked with organizations like IL&FS and MEC. She specializes in Municipal waste management, energy efficiency, sustainable Agriculture, safe drinking water and renewable energy projects with a strong track record as a team leader. Her work includes managing initiatives, developing carbon projects from MRV to carbon credit issuance, and conducting feasibility studies. Co-authored reports and presented papers on low-carbon policy, renewable energy financing, and waste management. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Studies from TERI University and a Bachelor’s in Botany from Delhi University.
Ankita Jena
Director-Technical
Ankita has 13+ years of experience in climate finance, project management, carbon markets (compliance/VCM). Her expertise spans from initial project conception and design to meticulous data management, emission reduction calculations, monitoring, verification, and ultimately credit issuance. She is particularly adept at overseeing community-based projects such as clean cooking, lighting, safe water supply, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, solar irrigation, and wastewater management. In the past, she has worked with organizations like Toxics Link, Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN), MicroEnergy Credits. She has published several reports and article on energy access, hazardous and e-waste management. She holds a Master’s in Natural Resource Management from TERI University and a Bachelor’s in Zoology from Delhi University.

Gandhar Ukidve
Senior Programme Officer
Gandhar is a dedicated and results-oriented professional with a strong commitment to sustainable development. He has 6 years of experience working across project cycles for clean cooking, safe drinking water and sustainable agriculture programmes. He is currently facilitating baseline assessment, stakeholder consultations and monitoring along with package documentation. He coordinates with clients, local partners and auditors for the programme implementation. Previously, Gandhar worked with Tata Capital, analysing investment opportunities in emerging clean technologies. His stints with CEEW and Prayas involved policy research in the domains of RE and power distribution. Gandhar holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Eng. & Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi and a Master’s degree in Business Laws from NLSIU, Bangalore. He is an Electrical Engineer by Training.
Parth Tandon
Programme Officer
Parth is a passionate and result-driven professional with a strong focus on sustainable development and continuous learning. He has more than 2 years of experience in the field of carbon market. He has previously worked as an associate consultant at Emergent Ventures Private Limited. He is actively involved in various projects focused on providing safe drinking water to the communities, promoting sustainable farming techniques and distributing improved cookstoves for cleaner and efficient cooking solutions. His passion for making a positive environmental and social impact drives his work across these initiatives. He completed his post-graduation in Environmental Studies and Resource Management from TERI University, New Delhi in 2022.
Pradnya Vernekar
Programme Officer
Pradnya is a highly driven, diligent and adaptable individual with a strong commitment to personal and professional growth. She has 11 years of work experience in the field of environment including 4 years in research. Previously she has worked at Carbon check in the capacity of Trainee Assessor. She also extensive research experience involved village mapping and survey work across India for estimating Aerosol emissions across residential, agriculture, brick kilns and vehicular sectors in addition to expertise in water quality and soil sampling. She completed her post graduation from the University of Mumbai in the year 2010.
Sandra Thomas
Senior Programme Associate
Sandra is an environmental professional specializing in carbon project development and climate change mitigation. With experience in developing and managing projects under Verra and Gold Standard, she has worked across sectors such as forestry, waste management, and energy efficiency. She has successfully led validation and verification processes, coordinated stakeholder engagements, and contributed to emission reduction estimations and carbon stock assessments. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, and is passionate about advancing sustainable solutions for climate resilience and ecosystem restoration.
Banupriya J
Senior Programme Associate
Banupriya is an environmental engineer with over 3 years of experience in carbon project development across the energy, water, and waste management sectors. She previously worked with Value Network Ventures Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, where she worked on project types including clean cooking, lighting, waste management, renewable energy, and safe water supply, conducting baseline and feasibility assessments across these project types. Her work has spanned major registry methodologies including CDM, Gold Standard, VERRA, CCTS, and PACM, as well as biochar carbon removal standards such as Puro.earth, Carbon Standards International (CSI), and Isometric. She has experience supporting validation and verification processes across these projects. Driven by a strong interest in sustainable development, she is passionate about advancing carbon markets and climate solutions that create real environmental and community impact. Banupriya holds an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering & Management from Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Reva University.
